Wassenaar Arrangement Strengthens India’s place as responsible nuclear power

India’s entry into Wassenaar arrangement a multilateral export Control  regime  as 42nd participating member is a big step in getting its membership in NSG group and to become a great nuclear power. This great achievement has been achieved by India just after a year after getting membership in MTCR. As a non-signatory member to the Nuclear Non proliferation Treaty (NPT) New Delhi has been at turmoil and was not getting comfortable to convey to international community about it.

The Wassenar arrangement was founded in year 1996 and it is like the other main groups like MTCR ,NSG and the Australia group. It states that “to contribute to regional and international stability and security, by promoting transparency and greater responsibility in transfer of conventional arms and dual user goods and technologies, thus preventing destablishing accumulation “It has been seen as one of the great achievement of India at world level. One of the important things here is that China is not the member of Wassenar arrangement however India got its membership.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor – An Eye of Dragon on Pakistan

The CPEC that is China Pakistan Economic Corridor is one of the the game-changer project lead by China which was started for the making of economic prosperity to the impoverished Pakistan. There was the Chinese investment plan for the economic Corridor from Kashgar through Gilgit- Baltistan ending at Gwadar. There was a military- political consensus on the CPEC. However, in their exuberance to launch the ambitious project, Pakistan government failed to go through process clearly. They did not found the  factor that  billions the Chinese were going to pump into Pakistan was about 20% of Pakistan’s $270 billion dollar economy which may hold the Pakistan in captivity in the next upcoming years. Besides, 2030 Pakistan would also have to pay back $90 billion and this would be an additional burden on the Pakistan. UP Latest news in Hindi
One of the project Bhasha - Diamer Dam Project in Which Both the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank had refused to fund this project without NOC from India, but as it was expected Pakistan refused for approaching India. As usual Pakistan turned to their true friend China in 2015, for financial help and China agreed to back up the Dam project. However China wanted its profit from this deal. There were some conditions about maintenance costs ownership, and collateral security. These conditions were unacceptable to Pakistan. This turn of events marked the first hole in the CPEC, same thing has been seen two years ago. In November 2017,Pakistan announced the withdrawal of Bhasha Diamer Dam project from the ambit of CPEC, causing quite a stir in the Pakistan political scenario.
However there are many benefits of China from CPEC project it can be seen as In 2015 President of China Xi Jinping announced the mega project CPEC proposal fully sponsored by China when he visited Pakistan, a total which was increased later. The mega- project covering energy and  infrastructure development which has the potential to lift up the downing economy of Pakistan. The project is an important link to their 'Belt Road Initiative.'
The most important achievement of China,to get geo strategic and economic benefits by reaching Gwadar Port. The development of Gwadar and the infrastructure projects of road and rail linkages across the country, are the glamorous aspects of the projects.Latest news Kanpur in Hindi
Also some other important aim of China are to establish a security and proper communication across the Pakistan for making its supremacy. The fibre optic network that is passing from the disputed area between the Pakistan and China shows the main aim of China. The CPEC is a transmission carrier of China that will enable China for smooth flow of its products and making pressure and showing its power to another countries of the world. Also China is focusing on establishing control over Pakistan’s agricultural land for their benefits, thousand acres of land wil be leased out to the Chinese companies for the cultivation and agricultural practices.
Not only this Pakistan  government has given huge tax concessions across the CPEC projects as compensation for working in a trouble zone. Moreover it can be seen clearly that Pakistan has given its economy and Country running remote in the hand of China, It is the reason that some Pakistani parliamentarians fear that CPEC could mark the arrival of another 'East India Company', which ultimately engulfed the Indian Sub-Continent. Raebareli current news in hindi

Test Fire of BrahMos Cruise Missile

Kanpur Hindi news
The Government of India in the year 1998 signed an agreement with Russia for designing, developing, manufacturing a Supersonic Cruise Missile System.
Hence the India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russian Federation's NPO Mashinostroeyenia joined together for formation of  the BrahMos Aerospace and also formulation of the BrahMos missile. BrahMos is named after two rivers, Brahmaputra of India and other Moskva of Russia.
It is a medium-range ramjet supersonic cruise missile which can be launched from submarine, ships, aircraft, or land. About 65% of the BrahMos components are supplied by Russia, including its ramjet engine and radar. It is  three and a half times faster than the American subsonic Harpoon cruise missile. ** A ramjet may be called an air breathing jet engine that uses the engine's forward motion to compress incoming air without the requirement of an axial compressor.
Since the engine takes in oxygen from the atmosphere and does not additionally require oxidizer for combustion of fuel, it reduces the overall weight of the rocket and hence increases its efficiency.
It is world's fastest anti-ship cruise missile in operation. The speed of this Missile is  Mach 2.8 to 3 having a range of 290 km. The versions that can be launched from land and sea are already in service, the air version was successfully test fired on 22 November 2017.
The submarine-launched version is in the testing phase. A hypersonic version of the BrahMos-II, is presently under development, it will have a speed of Mach 7-8. It is expected to be ready for testing by 2020.
India’s entry in the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) as a member in 2016 has opened up new possibilities for India. India and Russia done many other defence deals  for the coming years.
The BrahMos Block I was first inducted into the army on 21 June 2007. Presently there are three regiments of the Artillery Divisions of the Indian Army hold the BrahMos missiles, which include one regiment of the Mark I and two missile regiments of the BrahMos Mark II
Also presently, Brahmos has been induced into eight warships of the Indian Navy. Rajput-class Destroyer - INS Rajput ,INS Ranvir,INS Ranvijay , Kolkata-class Destroyer,Talwar-class Frigate, INS Teg, INS Tarkash ,INS Trikand, Shivalik-class Frigate,Visakhapatnam-class Destroyer.
.
For Indian Air force the BrahMos is a modified air-launched variant of the missile which has a range of 290km that can be launched from a Su-30MKI as a standoff weapon (can be launched without even entering enemy’s air space).
In order to reduce the missile’s weight to 2.55 tons, many modifications were made like using a smaller booster, adding fins for airborne stability after launch, and relocating the connector.
A demonstration flight was carried out at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Nashik on 25 June 2016 as a modified Su-30MKI carrying BrahMos-A underwent a successful trial flight.
The missile can be released from the height of 500 to 14,000 meters (1,640 to 46,000 ft). After release, the missile free falls for 100–150 meters, then goes into a cruise phase at 14,000 meters and the terminal phase at 15 meters.
Finally, on 22 November 2017, the missile was successfully test fired for the first time from a Sukhoi-30MKI against a sea based target in the Bay of Bengal.
The missile’s terminal altitude is as low as ten meters. (The ship-launched anti-ship version of the BrahMos can fly 3-4 meters above the sea to avoid detection.)
The IAF is planning to modify 50 Su-30MKI aircraft to carry the nuclear-capable cruise missile. In total, the IAF is expected to receive 200 air-launched BrahMos-As in the coming years, with first deliveries likely to commence from 2018.

The potential of the Indian Armed Forces has been greatly enhanced as it completes the tactical cruise missile capability after the successful test launch of BrahMos
Considering its long range it can also stike strategic targets deep into the heart of both China and Pakistan, this latest capability will serve as a major deterrent for our adversaries.
